The last couple of weeks has seen rain descend upon us nearly every afternoon and if you have a full-time job it makes it very difficult to get your work done when you get home.
Additions cannot be built, barn floor cannot be cleaned, grass starts to get out of control and today looks to be no different. We were able to make a hay and shavings run this morning before the sky opened up. Such is the life of a busy bunny breeder.
We did have 4 litters of bunnies born on the 24th with one being born to NB's Alette who is a first time mom. She is doing great as are the babies. With no hiccups we should have black, broken black, red, broken red and blue from these litters. NB's Clara Belle is now due for what will be the 4th time and hopefully she will come through for us. If not, we are content to move her on to someone who could use her as a pet. Just in case we have added to our white stock. On last Friday we drove quite a few miles and hours to bring in NB's Caesar, Casper, Carlie and Cassie. These are from a great line and we are so pleased to have them in our rabbitry.
I hope everyone is doing well and we hope that you observe Memorial Day as it was meant to be which is why we do not say Happy Memorial Day but rather we will just say "Thank You" to all of those who have and still defend our freedom and we humbly remember those who gave all they had to honor that commitment.
